EXISTING PROPERTY: OGILVIE MANSION
A three-acre property including an early 20th century mansion, better known as the Ogilvie mansion is a 385 square meter property built in the 1930’s for the Ogilvie family. It is majestic, with a classical stone structure and slate roof. The building is versatile and can be renovated to become an inn or restaurant, clubhouse to the golf course, a spa or it could be returned to its original historical stature as an elegant private country residence.
Annually since, substantial improvements were made to the property consisting of the construction of new roads (which provide access to all potential waterfront lots) and four new golf holes designed by the renowned golf course architect John Watson.

Mountain Acres is located just 10 minutes from Mont Blanc, a significant ski resort in the Laurentians, and 20 minutes from Mont Tremblant. In addition to the unparalleled alpine skiing, there are numerous centers for cross-country skiing. In fact, the area around Mountain Acres was home to some of the world’s most highly regarded alpine and cross-country skiers, including John Eaves (world freestyle ski champion). The property can also accommodate a number of its own cross country trails, as well as sled runs, ice fishing, hockey, skating and other activities.
Mont Blanc boasts 35 ski trails and terrain suited for beginners to experts. In addition, Mont Blanc offers ski rentals, day care, ski school and full dining facilities. As well, Mont Blanc has snowmaking over most of its terrain and boasts four chair lifts.
Mont Tremblant (just 20 minutes from Mountain Acres) is the most significant ski resort in eastern Canada. With 61 trails to choose from, it has something to offer both beginner and intermediate skiers. With its longest trail at 6,000 meters, Mont Tremblant is a true challenge and the closest example of European skiing to be found in Eastern North America. For the 1998-1999 season, Tremblant added a brand new heated high-speed gondola to service the south side trails. Their gondola cost 10 million dollars. For the 1999-2000 season, Tremblant opened 20 new trails on the newly created “Bol” section of the mountain. Serviced by a glass covered high-speed chair lift, with new improvements every year.
There are 18 additional ski areas within a 25-kilometres radius from Mountain Acres offering everything from night skiing to personalized ski schools. Most are blessed with exceptional snow-making and grooming, and the overall environment is comparable with any European resort facilities.
