Mistahiya Ski Area - For Sale
Mistahya Ski Area is located on 115 acres of semi-wilderness in the Battle River Valley in East Central Alberta, Canada. The Downhill ski facility has 3 ski lifts (2 tee bars and 1 handle tow) on 400 feet of vertical rise. This is the most vertical elevation of any ski area in central Alberta. There are ten runs with the longest being one-half mile in length. Mistahiya Ski Area is 10 km east of Hwy 41 between Wainwright and Vermilion (pop. 5000 each) with numerous smaller towns and vibrant farming and oil communities near by. Western Canada's largest Military Training Centre is located at Wainwright and is continually expanding. Vermilion is home to Olympic medal winner (Nordic skiing) Becky Scott, and boasts an 800 student community college.
Lloydminster (pop. 22,000) is 1.3 hours to the east and Edmonton (pop. 919,000) is 2.3 hours to the west.
